About The Kids

The Coralville Kids™, also known as Rocky Red™, Oceanna Orange™, Tide Yellow™, Shellsea Green™, Briny Blue™ and Starlet Violet™ come to life to take children on rhyming tropical adventures in animated interactive CD ROMS and coloring activity books designed for children ages 4-8.

The first adventure, True Colors, An Odyssey in the Sea™ celebrates the richness of differences that color our world and awakens in children the realization that we are all unique individuals sharing a common space.

Their Beginnings

The Coralville Kids™ odyssey began in 1993 when their creator, Sheralyn Kinsella Luplow, a licensed elementary teacher, wrote her first story in a series for children introducing six lovable fish characters, The Coralville Kids™ in True Colors, An Odyssey in the Sea©.

The story came to her after her first deep scuba dive to the Wreck of the Rhone off the coast of Tortolla in the British Virgin Islands. Eighty-five feet below the surface in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, a beautiful exciting new world opened up to her.

Once back home in the foothills of Northern Colorado, Ms. Luplow was compelled to recreate and share her experience. The story unfolded to her in a rhythmic style similar to the soothing motion of the ocean with fun-loving, child-like characters and positive messages for children. Throughout her years of teaching and parenting, Ms. Luplow saw a growing need in children to feel important in their world and positive about their relationships with others.

Her work incorporates her passion for reaching and teaching children and her love of nature, diversity and the arts. Ms. Luplow is dedicated to developing exceptional content and products for children's entertainment and education based on fun, original stories and characters that promote self-esteem, positive thinking, and creativity.
